  1. Magic Menu 2.0.2 - For Registered StuffIt Deluxe Users

  3. IMPORTANT:  
  4. Magic Menu requires the StuffIt Engine(tm), a portion of the commercial StuffIt Deluxe(tm)  package distributed by Aladdin Systems.  Only registered users of StuffIt Deluxe should download this package.  If you do not have the StuffIt Engine installed, this version of Magic Menu(tm) will not be useable.

  6. Introduction:
  7. Magic Menu places an additional menu in the Finder's menu bar.  This menu incorporates StuffIt's compression and decompression technology into the Finder, making it possible to Stuff and UnStuff documents and folders without launching an application.

  9. This version of Magic Menu is fully compatible with System 6 and System 7.  The Mail Extension now supports Microsoft Mail 3.0 and CE QuickMail 2.5, in addition to earlier versions of these mail systems.

  11. Installation:
  12. This package contains an automated installer that places Magic Menu in the correct location.  The installer will not run unless you have the StuffIt Engine installed in the correct location (the "Extensions" folder of your System Folder).  The safest method of installing is to follow these steps:

  14.      1) Run the StuffIt Deluxe Installer from your original master disk 1.
  15.      2) Select Expert Install
  16.      3) Uncheck all portions of the install, except for Magic Menu
  17.      4) Run the installer
  18.      You now have version 2.0 of Magic Menu installed.
  19.      5) Run the Magic Menu 2.0.2 Installer (that you just downloaded)
  20.      6) Restart your Macintosh
